Gardens & gentle breaks / KESWICK
Hope Park
Break the journey between Keswick’s centre and the lake with flower beds, garden paths and a place to pause. Paid golf games offer an optional shared activity, but you can simply enjoy the gardens. It is a useful short stop before a cruise or performance, especially when you do not want another long walk.

Keep the garden stroll and golf budget separate: free access to the park does not include the games. Check seasonal activity availability if golf is the reason for your visit.
The practical details
- Where to find it
- Between Keswick town centre and Derwent Water, by Lake Road.
Directions and arrival information ↗ - Tickets and booking
- The gardens need no admission ticket. Putting, pitch-and-putt and obstacle golf are separate paid activities; consult the park operator for current arrangements.
- Access and getting around
- The council’s overview does not establish a complete step-free route or access to each golf activity. Ask the park operator about surfaces, gradients and your chosen game before making access-dependent plans.
Official access information ↗ - Visiting with children
- Choose a brief garden circuit or one game according to energy and age. Golf and café spending can add up for a family; agree on the optional extras before arriving.
Practical information checked 14 September 2026. Confirm anything essential to your visit with the venue.
Make it part of your day
Allow 30–60 minutes, longer with a game for the visit, plus travel and breaks. This is a suggested planning allowance; opening times, access and availability may affect your plans.
