An evening at CentreStage needs a separate choice from the performance calendar and a booking. The Palace Theatre and Grand Hall are under redevelopment, so older lists recommending them as currently operating venues can mislead. A sensible first day is the castle and park with lunch, or the museum with a short town walk and an optional prebooked show. For a shorter alternative, keep one main visit and a meal. Do not bolt on a country-house trip elsewhere in Ayrshire just to make the Kilmarnock day longer.

Make a specific performance the reason to visit this community arts venue in the former Kilmarnock Academy. Music, comedy and theatre appear in the changing programme, so the useful choice is a show that genuinely interests you on your dates.
