Town ruins and a rural church →
Explore two different periods of local history with a pause in Lisnaskea between them.
Medieval church and burial ground / NEAR LISNASKEA
Visit the roofless church and old burial ground at Aghalurcher to explore another layer of the area’s history, including its connections with the Maguire family. The setting rewards a slow look at surviving masonry and carved details, approached with the respect due to a cemetery.

Two important carved medieval stones from here are now held at Enniskillen museum. Do not arrive expecting those objects to remain in the ruins.
