Conwy’s towers introduce a very different townscape from Llandudno’s seaside terraces. Explore the courts and surviving royal rooms, then decide which staircases suit your energy and comfort with heights. The castle makes a substantial nearby outing with time for lunch in Conwy; it should not be squeezed into the gap before a booked Orme return.

The approach is steep and stepped. Part of Conwy’s separate town-wall walkway remains closed; do not plan a complete accessible or uninterrupted wall circuit.

Tickets and booking: Check Cadw’s current opening and ticket options. Plan outward and return travel between Llandudno and Conwy separately; confirm the actual station and connections if using rail.
Access and getting around: Cadw describes a steep approach of about 50 metres with steps, followed by uneven surfaces and spiral stairs. Read the linked access guide on the visitor page and contact staff if stair climbing would prevent a worthwhile visit.

Visiting with children: Supervise children on narrow stairs and high walkways. Choose fewer towers and allow rest time rather than making the whole battlement route a target.
