Tower Bridge

Go inside the bridge to see the high-level walkways and the engineering story in the Engine Rooms. The paid visit adds a different perspective to the familiar riverside view; simply photographing the bridge from public space is a separate, shorter outing.

Before you go

Enter at the northwest tower, not the Engine Rooms. There is an outdoor entry queue even with a booking, and the route includes an outdoor transfer. Leave bulky luggage elsewhere.

Where to find it: Tower Bridge Road, London SE1 2UP. Ticket office and visitor entrance on the west side of the North Tower.

Tickets and booking: Pre-book the inside visit, check the chosen date’s last entry and allow for security. A scheduled bridge lift is not guaranteed during your visit.
Access and getting around: Lifts serve the high-level walkways and Engine Rooms. Read the access guide for the whole route and contact the team about specific requirements; a lift inside does not remove the outdoor approach.

Visiting with children: Consider whether the height and glass floor will appeal to your children. Relaxed openings are bookable on selected sessions. Plan food beforehand or afterwards: there is no on-site café or restaurant.
