Dinosaurland Fossil Museum

This independent museum concentrates on fossils themselves: local Jurassic marine specimens, displays explaining geological time and natural-history material for comparison. It rewards looking closely at shapes and details, with enough variety to hold a committed fossil enthusiast. It is a traditional collection in the old town, rather than a ride-based dinosaur attraction.

Access and getting around: Much of the fossil collection occupies the ground floor, while the Time Gallery is reached by stairs.
