A town half-day centred on an open Merchant’s House, with time to eat and browse.
A broad market street worth looking up from / MARLBOROUGH
Explore the long High Street between the Town Hall end and St Peter’s, noticing the buildings above the shops as well as the independent businesses at street level. It is an easy way to fill the gaps between a house visit and lunch without committing to another ticket. The street’s width is striking, but it remains a working road and parking area.

Walk one side out and the other back, using proper crossings. A market adds activity on its operating days, but do not plan around stalls without checking the current schedule.

Allow 45–75 minutes for the visit, plus travel and breaks. This is a suggested planning allowance; opening times, access and availability may affect your plans.
