A flexible seaside walk with Crocodile Rock / MILLPORT
Millport seafront and Kames Bay
Follow a manageable section of the waterfront from the town towards Kames Bay, looking across the water and pausing by the familiar painted Crocodile Rock. The attraction is the changing shoreline and an unhurried seaside break, not a checklist of separate rocks and beaches. Turn back whenever the weather or your group suggests; the longer Farland Point route is an optional further walk.
Before you go
Keep the promenade as your reliable route; wet rocks and tidal beach sections need more care than the paved waterfront.

- No admission is needed for the public waterfront. Ferry travel, refreshments and other activities have their own costs; check the return connection before settling in.
- Access and getting around
- Choose a suitable paved section and check crossings, dropped kerbs and the approach to any beach separately. Going onto sand or rocks changes the surface and access.

- Use Crocodile Rock as a fun landmark, with close supervision by water. Do not assume the rock is a safe climbing frame or that every beach visit is suitable for swimming.
