Montrose Air Station Museum
Make room for the human stories as well as the aircraft. Exhibitions across the former air-station site explore the people who served here, while recreated spaces and aviation displays help explain how military life changed. It is a visit for a curious couple of hours, not simply a photograph beside a plane.
Public opening is Friday to Sunday, with a later start on Sunday. The museum is volunteer-run and may close during concerning weather warnings, so check the current notice before travelling.

- No ordinary advance booking is required. Last entry is 15:00 on public opening days. There are vending snacks and drinks rather than a full cafeteria, so plan a proper meal separately.

- The site contains several buildings and outdoor areas, with only partial accessibility reported by the tourism authority. Accessible toilets are available. Contact the museum about the exact exhibits and routes you need rather than assuming every cockpit or display is accessible.
