Before you go
Coastal erosion and dune-management work affect this shore. Use permitted access points, follow current notices and stay away from steep dune edges and closed sections; older route descriptions may no longer match the ground.

- Ordinary beach access is free, with parking and optional refreshments separate. Check tides, weather and council notices before a longer walk. Never use an unsafe high-tide beach route as a way around closed paths.
- Access and getting around
- Firm seafront areas and beach access are not the same thing. Sand, steps, tide levels and erosion can interrupt routes; check current access and choose a comfortable viewpoint if reaching the sand does not suit. Public-toilet availability is seasonal.
Official access information - Visiting with children
- Keep children close to the water and away from eroding dunes. Do not promise paddling, lifeguard cover or an operating splash pool without a current check. A brief beach look with a warm-up afterwards can be enough.
