Scottish Seabird Centre

Use the Discovery Experience to understand the seabirds and marine life of the Firth of Forth before looking out across the real coastline. Interactive displays and wildlife interpretation make it a purposeful visit in their own right, rather than just a waiting room for a boat trip. Leave time for the sections that interest your group and a harbour walk afterwards if conditions suit.

Discovery admission and boat trips are different bookings. A centre ticket does not guarantee a sailing, landing or sighting of a particular bird.

Tickets and booking: Book the Discovery Experience for your chosen date. Last entry is an hour before closing and seasonal hours vary. Check separate boat suitability, dates and cancellation arrangements if adding a sailing.
Access and getting around: The centre provides level access with a lift between floors and a harbour ramp. Accessible parking is available nearby; arrange a loan wheelchair ahead if required. These arrangements do not establish access for separate boat trips.

Visiting with children: Children aged 15 and under need an accompanying responsible adult aged 18 or over. Explore at their pace and distinguish indoor wildlife learning from weather-dependent sea trips.
