Museum and a waterfront half-day →
Connect the village’s history with the harbour setting at an unhurried pace.
A short walk linking harbour views and local history / SCALLOWAY
Follow a manageable public section of the village waterfront, pausing at the Shetland Bus memorial and looking towards the castle exterior. The harbour is still a working place, which makes the museum’s stories easier to connect with the surroundings. Keep the walk flexible and respect private property and operational piers; seeing a building from the street does not mean its interior is open.

Combine this with the museum when it is open, or keep it as a short harbour walk with time for refreshments.
