The first floor and the gallery’s own toilets are reached by 23 stairs, with no lift. Ask what is on the accessible ground floor before choosing the visit around a particular exhibition.

- The annual adult pass also admits you to the Rotunda. Current opening is Tuesday–Saturday, with Sunday and Monday closed. Check temporary exhibitions and event arrangements; contact staff for groups of ten or more.
- Access and getting around
- The entrance and ground-floor exhibition rooms are accessible to wheelchairs and pushchairs. There is no lift to the first floor or upstairs toilets. An accessible toilet is next door at Woodend; check its availability when planning.

- Under-18s enter free. A visual story, sensory map and ear defenders can help prepare for the visit. Pushchairs can be stored for an upstairs visit, but that does not provide a step-free alternative.
