Before you go
Keep the return train in mind before unpacking for the afternoon. Getting off the sand, finding belongings and climbing back towards the station takes longer with children.

- The beach lies below the station; check the approach route and avoid assuming every route down is step-free. Soft sand remains a barrier. The council lists a beach wheelchair arrangement through the café: confirm availability and suitability directly before relying on it.

- RNLI lifeguards operate a shorter season here than at Porthmeor. Check the patrol calendar and flags for your date, supervise children and never infer safe swimming from sheltered-looking water. Toilets and food outlets are nearby, subject to opening.
