Follow a chosen part of the free sculpture trail through Stornoway’s town and harbour streets. Public artworks give the walk a focus beyond watching boats, with references to the islands’ people, wildlife and traditions. Tickets and booking: The official tourism body describes the self-guided sculpture trail as free. Download the leaflet or pick it up at the visitor information hub, and follow current public-access signs. Shops and food stops have their own opening hours.
Access and getting around: The route uses town streets and crossings, with exposure to wind and rain. Check the leaflet and choose an accessible section for your needs rather than assuming every artwork has an identical approach. Keep clear of restricted harbour areas and vehicle movements.

Visiting with children: Make a short art-and-boat spotting walk, choosing a few points from the leaflet. Supervise near traffic and water, and build in a food or toilet stop rather than expecting children to complete the whole trail.
