If a ferry journey is involved, leave enough travel margin and follow the transport operator’s current advice rather than packing in a final exposed walk.

Visit the free gallery for a changing exhibition, or choose a ticketed film, concert or performance from the programme. An Lanntair brings contemporary art and island culture into a convenient town-centre setting. Free general entry is different from admission to an event, so decide which experience you want before planning the day around it.
Choose a public swimming session at Ionad Spòrs Leòdhais for an active indoor break. The centre’s pool has different arrangements for open swimming, lanes, lessons and fun sessions, so the right timetable matters. It is a useful change from sightseeing when you want to move, but it is not an all-day water park with every feature continuously available.
