The Guild Chapel’s surviving wall paintings reveal a medieval visual world of belief and judgement. Stop to make out the scenes and ask a volunteer, when available, how the paintings were covered and rediscovered. This is a distinct, compact heritage visit beside the much larger Shakespeare story.
