Before you go

Treat water play as an optional seasonal extra. The council’s paddling-pool season ends on 30 September and operation also depends on weather and maintenance; the lawns and play area are the more flexible plan.

Access and getting around: The council describes inclusive play equipment and an accessible sensory play area. That is not a guarantee that every path, surface or piece of equipment suits every visitor; check the route and facilities for your needs.

Visiting with children: The council describes the refurbished main play area as aimed at ages 1–11. Keep children supervised near the river and pool. Public toilets are listed by the play-area entrance.
