Follow a few town-council trail points rather than all twenty.
A market town read through its streets / UPPINGHAM
Use the town council’s trail to look beyond shopfronts at the old school, market buildings and changing street names. Twenty mapped points give you choices rather than a compulsory circuit. A short loop from the Market Place is enough to start noticing how the town grew.

Download the council map before arriving and choose a few stops. Trail buildings include private homes and a working school: a point on the map is not permission to enter.
