Ordinary browsing at Goldmark and The Rutland Gallery adds indoor interest without an attraction ticket. These are sales galleries rather than public museums, so be considerate around displayed works and ask staff about the current selection. Buying art is optional and clearly outside the free plan. The Rutland Gallery closes on bank holidays under its regular timetable; Goldmark advertises different Sunday and bank-holiday hours. Check before choosing a day around both. The parish church offers another short free visit when open, respecting worship and any private service. It is a useful pause, not a guaranteed full afternoon of indoor activities. Bring a drink and plan food and toilets in the town, allowing for paid parking or your return bus. Lyddington Bede House is excluded from this free selection because ordinary non-member admission is charged. If time or energy is limited, keep the central trail points and one gallery. In persistent rain, shorten the walk and use confirmed open interiors rather than feeling obliged to finish all the outdoor map.
