Lyddington on an opening day →
Book the Bede House for its limited monthly opening and make travel part of the plan.
From a bishop’s palace to almshouse rooms / NEAR UPPINGHAM
Explore the surviving palace wing and the later rooms used by people living in the almshouse. The contrast between a grand upper room and modest domestic spaces gives a small building a substantial story. Make it a planned visit to Lyddington rather than an assumed daily opening on a town walk.

Current opening is the second Saturday and Sunday of the month until the end of October, 11am–4pm with last entry at 3pm. Confirm your exact date before travelling.
Practical information checked 15 September 2026. Confirm anything essential to your visit with the venue.
Allow 1–1½ hours for the visit, plus travel and breaks. This is a suggested planning allowance; opening times, access and availability may affect your plans.
