The historic house has small rooms across four floors. If seeing the upper-floor exhibition matters, check its access before buying tickets; the lift reaches only the first floor.

Tickets and booking: Book through the museum’s official ticket link or check visiting arrangements before arrival. Opening reduces during November and there is a winter closure; do not assume daily year-round admission.
Access and getting around: Short ramps link the entrance, courtyard and ground-floor rooms; a lift carries a wheelchair and carer to the first floor. Upper floors and attic are represented by a video downstairs. An accessible WC is provided.

Visiting with children: Best for children who enjoy voyages, maps and historical objects. Check any workshop’s age guidance and booking separately; the small-room house is not a large free-play space.
