Blackpool Promenade and Beach
A short stretch of the promenade gives you Blackpool’s big seafront views without an attraction ticket. Begin around the Tower and choose a turning point, such as the approach to Central Pier, instead of treating the entire coast as one walk. The beach is a separate, tidal space below the walkway: the amount of sand and the sensible route change with the sea. Stay on the promenade when conditions make a beach detour unsuitable.

- The paved promenade and the sand are different access environments. Choose suitable crossings and check local beach access before descending. Wind, sea spray and crowded sections can change the ease of the route.
