Book the Ballroom around a suitable organist session. Allow 1–2 hours to watch or dance, then an unrushed hour for lunch nearby. A reserved afternoon tea can replace that meal stop. Add a short promenade outing if the weather suits; the shorter version is the Ballroom and a meal. Times are editorial allowances, to adapt to the pace you both want. If a view is the priority, choose the Tower Top instead of adding it automatically. Check visibility and operation, particularly if one of you is less keen on heights. Showtown is a central indoor alternative with entertainment stories to discuss afterwards. The Blackpool Tower Top

The viewing attraction inside Blackpool’s most recognisable landmark gives the coastline a different scale: the piers and long strip of promenade become a map beneath you. Stanley Park

Blackpool Promenade and Beach

A short stretch of the promenade gives you Blackpool’s big seafront views without an attraction ticket. Begin around the Tower and choose a turning point, such as the approach to Central Pier, instead of treating the entire coast as one walk. The beach is a separate, tidal space below the walkway: the amount of sand and the sensible route change with the sea. Stay on the promenade when conditions make a beach detour unsuitable.

Make the Ballroom the main visit, followed by a meal nearby. Watching is a valid way to enjoy it. A small promenade outing can be optional, and you can finish after lunch if that suits your energy.
