Stanley Park

Stanley Park gives a Blackpool day a different pace, with formal gardens, a lake and space for a picnic inland from the seafront. Choose a modest garden-and-lake walk or spend longer around the play areas; there is no need to circle the whole park to enjoy the change of scene. The café can be a useful paid stop, while a packed lunch keeps the visit inexpensive.

Check the gate closing time when you enter. If you have come after the zoo, choose one short park section rather than adding a full circuit to an already substantial day.

Tickets and booking: Ordinary park entry is free. Gates normally operate from dawn to dusk; follow the posted closing time. Café purchases and optional activities are separate, and seasonal facilities may not run.
Access and getting around: Routes and surfaces vary across gardens, woodland and lakeside areas. Ask the park about a suitable entrance and route if gradients, steps or distance are important; do not assume every circuit is step-free.
