A woodland approach to the gorge and modern bridge / CALLANDER
Follow the signed approach through woodland to the bridge overlooking the falls and gorge. The replacement bridge has reopened the crossing, though older descriptions may still refer to the removed timber structure. Choose between a return visit to the falls and the longer, moderately graded circuit, which adds a steeper ascent and a minor-road section.

The full circuit is around 5.3 kilometres and takes roughly two to two-and-a-half hours. A shorter return to the bridge is a different walk.
Practical information checked 16 September 2026. Confirm anything essential to your visit with the venue.
Allow 1–2.5 hours, depending on route for the visit, plus travel and breaks. This is a suggested planning allowance; opening times, access and availability may affect your plans.
