A woodland approach to the gorge and modern bridge / CALLANDER

Bracklinn Falls

Follow the signed approach through woodland to the bridge overlooking the falls and gorge. The replacement bridge has reopened the crossing, though older descriptions may still refer to the removed timber structure. Choose between a return visit to the falls and the longer, moderately graded circuit, which adds a steeper ascent and a minor-road section.

Before you go

The full circuit is around 5.3 kilometres and takes roughly two to two-and-a-half hours. A shorter return to the bridge is a different walk.

Tickets and booking: Walking does not require an attraction ticket. Parking and travel are separate; check current notices, daylight and weather. Do not rely on older bridge-closure or timber-bridge descriptions.
Access and getting around: Compacted paths include loose material, slopes and steeper sections. The full circuit is not a level accessible route; check current conditions and choose an approach suited to your mobility.

Visiting with children: Keep children close at the gorge and fast water. Stay on the signed route and behind barriers; omit rough paths towards pools.
