The modest circuit passes meadow and trees, with places to pause and views towards the surrounding hills when conditions allow. It is a useful route for a brief outing, but the meadow is also a floodplain and should be avoided when water or notices make access unsuitable.
Choose a public swimming session or another suitable indoor activity at Callander’s community leisure centre on Mollands Road. The pool, soft play and other facilities run their own timetables, so an opening time for the building is not permission to use everything inside. This is an active alternative to sightseeing when the weather turns.
