COLCHESTER GUIDE Independent ideas for your day out

Roman stories inside a Norman keep / COLCHESTER

Colchester Castle

Explore the museum inside the keep, following objects and displays that connect Roman Colchester with the city that followed. Give the galleries time rather than treating the building as a quick photograph. The castle and the public park are separate experiences, so you can choose how much history fits your day.
