Look for the Roman wall as part of the landscape rather than racing between monuments. It is an easy way to add fresh air to a museum day without another admission ticket.
Pause among the ruined church arches and look at the reused Roman brick in the Norman structure. This is a small, open-air historic site where a little close looking can be more rewarding than a long circuit. It pairs naturally with a city-centre day without becoming another museum-length visit.
