GOUROCK GUIDE Independent ideas for your day out

An easy green-space and play break / GOUROCK

Gourock Park

Use Gourock Park for a change from the seafront, particularly when children need some play time. The public green space sits alongside organised sports facilities, with a children’s play area and pets corner listed by the operator. It is a modest local park visit that can round off the day without another major booking.

Before you go

The pitches are booked sports facilities. Free use of the surrounding public park does not entitle visitors to occupy a football or cricket pitch, changing room or club area.

The practical details

Where to find it
George Road, Gourock PA19 1YT
Directions and arrival information ↗
Tickets and booking
Ordinary public green-space use does not need a sports booking. Football and cricket facilities require advance arrangements and may charge; allow organised matches and maintenance priority in their designated areas.
Access and getting around
Check the route from your chosen entrance and current paths if gradients or surfaces matter. The operator lists free public parking, but does not provide a complete step-free visitor circuit or guaranteed public changing-room access.
Official access information ↗
Visiting with children
The play area gives the visit a simple purpose. Check whether the pets corner is accessible that day rather than promising animal encounters, feeding or a staffed farm experience.

Practical information checked 15 September 2026. Confirm anything essential to your visit with the venue.

Make it part of your day

Allow 45–90 minutes for the visit, plus travel and breaks. This is a suggested planning allowance; opening times, access and availability may affect your plans.
