Gourock Outdoor Pool

Swim in heated saltwater with the Clyde as the backdrop. This is an open-air pool with changing facilities and a separate baby pool, so it offers a different experience from a beach swim. Give it a proper place in the day, with time to change, warm up afterwards and enjoy the waterfront.

Before you go

The final day of public swimming in the 2026 season is Monday 28 September. The following day’s dog event is not an ordinary public swim; do not plan a winter pool visit without a newly confirmed opening.

Tickets and booking: Ordinary swimming currently operates without advance booking, with one-in/one-out admission when busy. Starlight swims are separate pre-booked sessions. Check the daily timetable, prices and seasonal dates directly.
Access and getting around: Check the pool’s current assisted entry, changing and access arrangements directly before travelling if needed. The pool is outdoors even though the water is heated; changing space does not turn it into an indoor attraction.

Visiting with children: Under-eights require adult accompaniment under the operator’s rules. Check the exact supervision ratio and any session restrictions for your group; the baby pool does not remove the need for close supervision.
