Forest, lake and exposed views / NEAR LIMAVADY
Explore the forest and lake landscape above the coastal plain, choosing a route appropriate to the weather and your walking experience. The views towards Lough Foyle and Donegal are the draw, but the exposed escarpment is a different undertaking from a gentle town park.

Use a current route map and respect forestry signs. Do not follow an assumed cliff-edge shortcut or turn a viewpoint visit into an unplanned hill walk.
Practical information checked 16 September 2026. Confirm anything essential to your visit with the venue.
Allow 1–3 hours for a chosen route, plus travel for the visit, plus travel and breaks. This is a suggested planning allowance; opening times, access and availability may affect your plans.
