Roe Valley Country Park is a useful starting point for a first visit. Its river, woodland and industrial traces offer more than a simple exercise loop, and you can choose how long to spend outdoors. Check the route conditions and leave time for the return rather than assuming every path makes a short circular walk. The park is outside the central streets, so include the transfer in your plan. The arts centre provides a different kind of outing in town. Look for a performance that interests you and book the specific event at the Limavady venue. A show ticket is separate from ordinary building opening, and the wider programme may include events elsewhere. Exhibitions and family activities have their own arrangements, worth checking if you are visiting during the day. Benone Strand calls for another journey north to the coast. A short beach walk can be enough; there is no reason to cover all the sand to appreciate the scenery. Before planning water time, check the lifeguard season and the flags on arrival. Specialist access equipment also needs advance arrangements. Binevenagh is the more demanding landscape choice. Select a known route, follow forestry notices and take exposed edges and poor visibility seriously. It should not be squeezed between two timed bookings. For a shorter visit, keep to a comfortable section of the Roe Valley, or arrange a meal and the booked performance in town. A beach outing or hill route can be a separate day.

Choose a performance at Limavady’s town-centre arts venue to add music, theatre or another live event to your visit. The Danny Boy Auditorium hosts a changing programme, so this is an outing to book around a specific event rather than a show available whenever the building is open.
Take a separate coastal trip from Limavady for a beach walk, time on the sand or views across towards Donegal. Benone’s long shoreline lets you choose a short outing without walking its full length, with dunes and mountain scenery giving the beach its setting.
Explore the forest and lake landscape above the coastal plain, choosing a route appropriate to the weather and your walking experience. The views towards Lough Foyle and Donegal are the draw, but the exposed escarpment is a different undertaking from a gentle town park.
