Give the zoo a substantial part of the day among animal habitats and gardens in Trenance. The site combines wildlife viewing, outdoor paths and play areas, with space for a food break. It works best as the main family outing rather than an extra stop after a long morning carrying beach equipment.

- Compare the actual individual adult and child tickets: the current operator does not offer a fixed family ticket. Online offers have purchase cut-offs, so check before travel. Closing changes seasonally and last entry is one hour earlier. Read the assistance-dog and carer evidence rules if relevant.
- Access and getting around
- Most routes suit wheelchairs and pushchairs, but some have inclines or rough surfaces. Use the access map to select a route. Accessible toilets and a Changing Places facility are provided; bring your own sling if needed. Adjacent council parking has separate rules and charges.

- Allow time for the outdoor play area and a picnic or café break. The current FAQ says animal experiences are no longer offered; look up ranger talks and activities for the day instead. Wildlife visibility varies and the route is largely outdoors.
