Tickets and booking: No general admission charge for the gardens. Heritage museum entry is advertised free, but confirm volunteer opening directly before making a special visit. Food, pedal boats and other leisure-park attractions are separate purchases.
Access and getting around: Visit Newquay describes level concrete paths in the gardens and around the lake, while approaches from the centre can be steep. Start close to the valley if hills are a difficulty. Wet paths and crossings still need care; museum interior access should be checked separately.

Visiting with children: A useful shorter outing after the zoo, with close supervision beside the stream and lake. Do not promise boat hire to children without checking operation, age rules and price. The garden walk and watching the water are free.
