Blackpool Zoo
The zoo offers a longer, predominantly outdoor visit on the eastern side of town, away from the promenade’s line of attractions. Treat it as a place to slow down at a few habitats, rather than a checklist of every animal. Buildings offer some shelter, but the walking between them makes this a poor substitute for a fully indoor wet-weather day. A picnic or café stop halfway through helps families keep a comfortable pace.

- The access guide records uneven surfaces as well as accessible public buildings. Limited wheelchair hire should be arranged in advance. Assistance dogs cannot enter the zoo; contact the venue before planning a visit with one.
