They face the same small Market Place, which makes a two-museum day convenient in rain, but Little Hall’s usual afternoon opening prevents an early start there. Spend the morning at the Guildhall, leave a full hour for lunch and allow at least an hour in Little Hall after it opens. The garden is optional when wet; the interior still needs care around narrow stairs and uneven floors. The museums offer different experiences: the Guildhall is a way into the village’s social history, while Little Hall brings together a domestic building and a collector’s possessions. Choose the one that appeals most if two would feel repetitive. For a shorter plan, have lunch and visit Little Hall, or combine the Guildhall with a drink. Little Hall has no refreshments, and the Guildhall tea-room has separate hours, so check the meal stop instead of assuming it follows museum opening. The church offers another quiet interior, but reaching it from Market Place involves an outdoor walk and sightseeing must wait around services. Contact the venues about the access you need: an accessible ground floor in one building does not make all the rooms in another easy to reach. Outside Little Hall’s season, do not build a winter day around it without a confirmed public opening. The woodland can become muddy and includes roads; keep it for appropriate weather rather than using tree cover as shelter. A compact visit with one open museum is the reliable starting point.
