Before you go
Public openings are normally on Sunday afternoons, subject to exceptions. The Museum of Eton Life is closed for works from May to November 2026, so do not build a visit around that separate museum.

- Access and getting around
- Ask the collections team to confirm lift availability before travelling: its access page retains an old unresolved Natural History Museum lift notice, and that museum’s upper floor is stairs-only. Access differs between the two museums.
