Windsor Castle

The State Apartments and castle precincts make a substantial introduction to Windsor’s royal history. Choose this as your main visit if you want to go beyond the walls seen from town. St George’s Chapel is part of the usual sightseeing offer when open, but its worship calendar and separate restrictions matter.

Check the live closure calendar before buying travel. The castle normally opens Thursday to Monday; St George’s Chapel is closed to sightseeing on Sundays. Royal use can change access at short notice.
