A short circuit can be enough for fresh air, while longer connections towards Woodbank should be a deliberate extension rather than an automatic detour.

The house is being conserved, so the visit includes a building in transition rather than a promise of unobstructed views and every room open. Choose the available route with time for lunch and rest.
